Lack of access to education is a major predictor of passing poverty from one generation to the next, and receiving an education is one of the top ways to achieve financial stability.

We are a Global Education Promotion & support Organizations.

We are focused on ending family-unit poverty by educating the first student.

OUR MODEL

Our model is rooted in enabling access to quality education, high impact coaching, and career advice to highly motivated and economically disadvantaged first-student. Our expectation is that they would lift their family, and future generations out of poverty.

We have awarded over 115 higher education entrance exam fee scholarships, grants and best student award to First Generation grade school students in rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa.

We have partnered with Education Ambassadors to make access to higher education entrance exams accessible to First Generation Students in low income communities.

We have assisted First generation students with access to merit scholarships and college entrance application forms.

But, there are still over 50% of students who need help navigating higher education exams, scholarships and merit based tuition scholarships.

Our Programs

Our programs are designed to enable 10th to 12th grade First generation students get the best resources to prepare for college admissions and scholarship opportunities to unlock the full potential.

Exam fees Paid.

College entrance exams (SAT, ACT, IELTS, JAMB, etc.) fee and preparatory materials paid. Scholarship support.

Announcing the 2021-2022 First Generation Scholarship Award

What it is:

Funds for students who are first in their family to go to the University or a Career College.

Eligibility Criteria

·       The applicant must be first in their family to enroll in post-secondary education

·       To qualify for a scholarship as a ‘first generation’ or ‘first scholar’, neither of your parents or siblings:

·       Obtained a certificate or university degree

·       Earned an associate degree or more advanced degree

·       Attained a bachelor’s degree or a more advanced degree

·       Neither parent nor a sibling has ever enrolled in or attended a career college

• Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 – 3.7 on a scale of 4.0 or a class rank of the top 5% in your class

·       Total family income of less than Forty thousand

·       Currently enrolled in 10th to 12th grade (SS1 –SS3)

• Demonstrable Extra Curricular Activities(ECA) like volunteer work and leadership qualities

• Must earn a 1290 SAT or 29 ACT for First Gen. Scholarship (for International First Gen Students who wish to attend school in United States or other countries outside their home country.

• Must have four references to verify character, identity and economic status. Two of those references must be the community leader and the High School Principal.

For International Students: The First generation Scholarship is administered through the office of the traditional ruler or community leader.
It is a N250 per year award or N300, 000 if living on campus for the first year only.

If you qualify, you can apply for the Scholarship through the office of the traditional ruler or online at www.globaledudrive.org. As the season is closing, you should check online prior to the fall season for the deadline date.

The scholarship is renewable up to a max of 2 semesters. Recipients must be in good standing with their academics performance to renew this scholarship.
